Do I need a permit for a dumpster in St. Petersburg?

‍The City of St. Petersburg has specific rules regarding "encroachment" if a dumpster is placed on a public sidewalk or street. However, for most residential cleanouts where the dumpster is placed on your private driveway, a permit is not required. If you live in a historic district like Kenwood with narrow alleys or limited driveway space, give us a call! We specialize in tight-spot placements.

How do Pinellas County disposal rules differ?

‍When disposing of waste in Pinellas County, it’s important to know that hazardous materials (paints, chemicals, electronics) must be handled differently than standard construction debris. We help our St. Pete customers navigate these rules to ensure everything is disposed of safely and legally at the Pinellas County Solid Waste facility.

Is there an extra fee for delivery to St. Pete?

‍As mentioned on our service map, we offer free delivery within 25 miles of our home base. Because St. Pete is a bit further south, there is typically a small distance-based delivery fee (approx. $8 per mile beyond the zone). We are transparent about this upfront—no "surprise" charges on your final bill.

These items will incur additional fees

  • Home appliances and TV's will incur at least a $25 per item fee depending on it's size. Must disclose items prior to rental otherwise additional processing fees may be incurred.  
  • Tires will incur a $25 per item fee if included in the dumpster $75 for tires on rim.
  • Mixed construction debris with landscape debris. Landscape debris requires separation from household junk and construction debris at the dump. If separation is required additional fees may be incurred.

What CAN'T I throw out?

Under no circumstances will we accept any of the following items.

  • No biological matter, including dead animals, biomedical waste food waste
  • No hazardous materials of any kind.
  • No oils or other lubricants including motor oil, transmission oil, etc.
  • No flammables, propane tanks, fuels, etc.
  • No vehicle batteries
  • No sealed barrels or drums
